the whole first few minutes of the film was a waste of my life... lol that sounds abit harsh, but yeah, it served no piont what so ever except for a cheap jump moment perhaps. Its only when she is cooking that any sort of narrative seems to begin.

The editing on the phone call seemed abit dodgy at times, where it would have the girl in red say something and then just cut away from her mid way through her first word in a way that just didnt flow right at all. Also at times the processed audio to make it sound like on the phone meant i couldnt hear what the girl in red was saying.

On the narrative front... what is sposed to be going on? Im getting lost. The idea that someone picked up the phone when she was out was a brilliant premise but so far (im way through at the mo) it doesnt seem to of gone anywhere. Apart from the fact the house seems to be making evil noises every 5 minutes. And whats with the ring?

Some of the camera work is not quite perfect, like when it cuts to a similar shot from a slightly more profile angle. The extra shot serves no purpose and looks to similar to the first to cut from one to the other. In particular here im talking about when she sits down to listen to the radio.

Whats with the door thing? where we see it open and she goes all crazy for no reason. That wasnt really explained and nothing was made of it.

I did like the way we saw the feet at the end but didnt know whos they were. That was the best aspect of the whole movie IMO.

On a technical note, did that movie have any special streaming or did i just "open" it rather than "downloading" it? Becos it seemed to play pretty much straight away.

I agree with most of the above. Some of the editing was a little shoddy. And that transision to slow motion near the end was terrible. I too didnt get the "point" of the story... But Im th kind of person that likes to have all the answers by the end of the movie. There was some great sound design. And it looked better than a lot of stuff Ive seen.

Well done. You got something made. You bave a finished short film. It's all a great learnig exorcise. Next time have a better script and I'm sure your next one will be a lot better. Keep it up.

Also I think you should try and put your own name on screen more often and try and use an even bigger font.

Anyway, thanks for the views! Like you say, we got it made, with no 'training' so to speak. It's all a learning experience.

That was shot November 02, and since then I've done a few more, but with different people. I'll try and upload them somewhere.
